Nutrisystem Monday May 22nd

So I’ll be honest with you guys, I slacked off a lot. And I’m super surprised to say that I remained the same weight: 186.2 lbs

I started tackling my weight loss journey harder this week though and I started going to the gym. My gym workouts consist of a 10 minute cardio session followed by routine of weight training provided from this online website called: Muscle and Fitness

^ that is the specific training guide I am using and I am currently on day 3.

Along with going to the gym, I am going to add some daily goals to my life. This past week I have been waking up at 8 a.m. everyday, I feel like this is awesome because I get a good start to the day. I can lounge around for an hour or two in my bed while I’m awake and then have my breakfast at 10 a.m. like I usually do. Once I get into the habit of waking up that early I’m going to fill in that time with outdoor activities to get active. I have also been going swimming as a work out during my rest days in my workout plan, just because while I do want to rest I still want to be active everyday. This week I am planning on going biking in the everglades which is super exciting and takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete.
I have been drinking the right amount of water everyday but I had not been eating my nutrisystem meals which I will start again today.

Also, since I am now going to the gym, I will still be weighing myself but I know that my weight will also go up because of the muscle I am going to be putting on so instead I am going to focus on my BMI and my measurements.

Nutrisystem

Hello for anyone who is viewing this!

My name is Jennifer and I am a 19 year old university student in Miami, Fl.

I’m not sure if any of you have heard of the Freshman 15. If you have not then, let me quickly explain. Freshman 15 is something that happens your free year at college, you gain 15 pounds. While this was true for me, I was more of a freshman 25, I currently weigh at around 197 pounds and I am 5’7″ and I am considered obese, having a BMI of over 30. I have never been a skinny girl but this is the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I need to put the breaks on now while I still can.

Since I have never been skinny, I have tried pretty much a lot of the weight loss gadgets and programs out there. I did Herbalife for a good portion of my life, I ended up losing about 20 pounds. I never actually bought the shakes back then, I just  went to zumba classes 3 times a week that gave you a shake after and then I would do a conditioning class during the weekend and then workout by myself by riding bike and what not. I would also bike to Zumba to get more calories out. I stopped going after some time and gained the weight. After that I did Jenny Craig, which was SUPER expensive but I liked it, I had to stop doing because it was just too much to pay for. I did Orange Theory Fitness for a bit, which I loved but it was super expensive so I could not continue once I started college. I tried Herbalife again but it didn’t work out because I wouldn’t commit to making the shakes in the mornings. It would also be a hassle to take the shake on the go with me since I’d be in school all day and the container would stay dirty in my car. Also, again, pretty expensive for just shakes.

Finally, I believe this is going to be my last attempt at a weight loss program because at this point it’s just money going down the drain.

On Monday, May 1st, I will begin my first day on Nutrisystem. I already received the box but I figured I’d start on Monday so I could properly weigh myself and do a weekly check in on a certain day. On Monday I will write another post giving all of you a description of the box and all my numbers (BMI, WEIGHT, HEIGHT, MEASUREMENTS). I hope people stop by this page if you are also trying nutrisytem for the first time! Let’s do this together!!

Disclaimer: I hope you guys don’t mind the informal writing and the errors. These posts aren’t supposed to be perfect. I am just trying to blog this to keep myself accountable and to help others! So the posts won’t be edited too much and if there are errors then I am sorry!! This is more for me than anything. Also, I am not being paid by Nutrisystem to do this in the slightest. I just wanted to try something new!!

BTW! Fun Fact: my picture on this blog is actually me at my skinniest weight (around 150)!

See you all Monday!!

Jennifer
